On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at the National Institute of Chemistry in Ljubljana the 9th Symposium of the Immunology Society of Slovenia took place, which was entirely dedicated to presentations by young researchers in the field of immunology.

At the symposium, 12 young Slovenian immunologists presented their work, covering diverse research areas:

  • allergies and mechanisms of hypersensitivity,
  • autoimmune diseases,
  • immunotherapy with natural killer cells,
  • basic research on immune cell function,
  • inflammasomes and immunogenic cell death,
  • immunological effects of irradiation on tumor vasculature,
  • development of immunological methods.

The symposium took place in a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere, where each lecture sparked lively discussions and opened space for networking and future collaborations.

The conclusion of the meeting was clear: young Slovenian immunologists have a wealth of knowledge, fresh ideas, and the courage for research, with which they significantly contribute to the development of immunology at home and abroad.

We thank the sponsors Omega d.o.o. and Labena d.o.o. for their support in the organization of the event.
